(Annoyed with a hint of regret) "Dad sic'd me on Superman like an attack dog. I thought if I could take out SUPERMAN of all people, Dad would finally be proud. But when I looked back, Dad was running away. I wasn't his valiant knight or a rook, I was his damned pawn to sacrifice."
(Proud of himself) "I could have escaped, probably still be on the run today, but I stood there, looked at myself in the mirror, then said to my Dad, "No…I'm done."
(Sincere) "I'm here because Superman gave me a chance. And I ain't planning to waste it."
