He finds it really hard to communicate with people due to the way he’s lived his life by himself, carving figured day in and day out, as well as getting immensely frightened surprisingly easily."

Shin is a very timid person, even if he doesn't enjoy complete peace and quiet.
His voice would probably be something like a male-ish Mikan with a lower pitch, but you can add your vision too!
