ROSS
Voice: Male

Ross is a Scottish noble that acts as a messenger and observer during some of the critical events of the play, such as informing Macduff of his family's demise. Ross originally supports Macbeth's advancement to thane of Cawdor and later King of Scotland. The death of his cousin Lady Macduff gives him reason to doubt Macbeth, and he eventually marches with Malcolm to overthrow the tyrant.
