Cable is described as stoic, and often refusing to face others directly. This is reflected in his dialogue with Kai, where he doesn't go on any long speeches, only uttering a few short sentences before getting straight to the fight. And at the end of the fight, as well, Cable simply admits defeat without showing any other emotions, harkening back to him being very stoic.
