Tae Kwon Donkey - Issue 1
MayDay for Voice Actor - Tae Kwon Donkey
LEAD ROLE
Tae Kwon Donkey is the reluctant protagonist of the Tae Kwon Donkey Universe...a martial arts comic series blending absurd anthropomorphic action with emotional mythology, philosophy, and consequence.
Despite the ridiculous surface appearance of the world, Tae is emotionally sincere, introspective, conflicted, and spiritually exhausted. He is not a traditional heroic protagonist.

This role should NOT sound:

“Even if I fight every fight and win… we’ve already lost… what we’ve already lost.” (Introspective - recurring theme line for Tae Kwon Donkey)
“Speaking of saving it… how exactly are we supposed to stop the Claw and Order with a bunch of useless art? …So now we’re gonna kill them with poems?” (Demonstrating his sarcasm, quippiness, and reluctant energy)
“You are right, Crab… I’m just a lazy ass… and when I say ‘ass’… I mean… DONKEY!!!” (Beaten to a pulp...his come back moment...breaking out of his nature and finally having a big hero moment)
Hey Mayday! Thanks so much for the submission. The tone is correct for the character. It is definitely workable. That said, I don't think there is enough in the delivery that makes it feel "iconic". Something that when people hear the voice - it is unmistakably Tae Kwon Donkey. I think it is overall a good and clean, but maybe slightly generic delivery. If you submit again, I'd encourage you to explore ideas for the character a bit more. Thank you so much for taking the time!
Thank you for the feedback, would it be alright if i get more literal with being a donkey? like insert huffs and hee haws? besides that i'll try some more lines with a different delivery.
also how would you suggest I make it more "iconic"? would that imply more staggered lines like a hero giving a speech or just like every line I'm saying I'm expecting to be quoted by adoring donkey fans? I'd love to give it another try but I don't wanna over correct this time and make it too cartoony trying to be "iconic". I greatly appreciate the feed back though
