Tae Kwon Donkey - Issue 1
William J for Voice Actor - Tae Kwon Donkey
LEAD ROLE
Tae Kwon Donkey is the reluctant protagonist of the Tae Kwon Donkey Universe...a martial arts comic series blending absurd anthropomorphic action with emotional mythology, philosophy, and consequence.
Despite the ridiculous surface appearance of the world, Tae is emotionally sincere, introspective, conflicted, and spiritually exhausted. He is not a traditional heroic protagonist.

“Speaking of saving it… how exactly are we supposed to stop the Claw and Order with a bunch of useless art? …So now we’re gonna kill them with poems?” (Demonstrating his sarcasm, quippiness, and reluctant energy)
“You are right, Crab… I’m just a lazy ass… and when I say ‘ass’… I mean… DONKEY!!!” (Beaten to a pulp...his come back moment...breaking out of his nature and finally having a big hero moment)
Hey William! Thanks so much for the kind words! I'm glad you are interested in this project! I gotta say...I love how you deliver the last line on both takes! It feels very climatic the way it is supposed to be. You also have a nice crisp and clear voice. I want to say I like the tone much better in the second take more than the first...the first felt a little too super-heroey cliche, as opposed to the second take which felt more natural. The one thing that is throwing me off is how you are hitting words like "poem" and pronouncing it so perfectly...only because I feel like Donkey wouldn't put so much effort into clearly hitting every vowel. If that makes sense. This is definitely a great submission. And I appreciate your time!
Thank you so much for your reply, this is the first time I've received feedback for pronouncing words too perfectly but I understand the point you're making. If there is anything else you want to me to revise with my audition, by all means let me know. I look forward to hearing more about the project!
