Tikal is a peace-loving echidna from ancient times. She is young, idealistic and strongly believes that violence is never the answer to any conflict. In a desperate attempt to save the world from being destroyed by a being known as Chaos, whom her warmongering father and fellow clan members angered with their massacre of the Chao, Tikal implored the Master Emerald to seal away the enraged beast, leaving herself to be sealed away as well.

Many, many years later, Tikal would be released along with Chaos during the events of Sonic Adventure, and she is now able to take the form of a red sphere of energy due to the extreme length of time she spent inside the emerald, along with her physical form.

This version of Tikal is going to be one who is learning the ways of modern society, and spends a great deal of time with Knuckles on Angel Island. She is kind, gentle, and her voice is soothing to the ear. My preferred voice impression is that of Elara Distler, example below.
