As a lot of people seem to be making this mistake; "Foci" is pronounced with a hard 'c'.

  • History, archaeology, anthropology. Those are the core foci of the college I attend.

  • The ruins we were delving into were supposed to be long abandoned but it had since become the nest of a great and terrible beast.

  • Facing off against such a predator and with my team behind me laying it to rest, was the single-greatest thrill of my life.
