The character is an engineer in a dystopian futuristic world. He isn't physically strong and is initially shocked to be chosen for a space colonization mission. As players conquer more planets, he grows from being terrified to being more confident and determined.
Think "anxious-but-brilliant". He has a bit of that frantic, high-energy Shaggy (Scooby-Doo) quality, but he needs to sound like a real person surviving a dystopian world, not a caricature. I'm looking for a collaborator who wants to "own" this character for the long term.

Hi Galen. Thanks for auditioning! I gravitated more towards your second take - that energy was more aligned with what I was looking for. It was also clear you were having a blast recording it, which made it a joy to listen to! :)
To be honest, your natural resonance sounds a bit more older than the specific age range I have in mind for this character, but I liked the performance. It gave me Tim Curry in Red Alert 3 vibes. I may keep you in mind for future roles that need that level of personality!
