Zoey (Korean: 조이 RR: Jo-i) is the one of the two deuteragonists (alongside Mira) of KPop Demon Hunters, a 2025 animated musical urban fantasy produced by Sony Pictures Animation and released on Netflix. A gifted K-pop idol and the lead rapper of the girl group HUNTR/X, Zoey and her bandmates lead a double life as demon hunters. She is the group's maknae (막내, the youngest member of a group), aligning with her childlike and fun personality. Her ethnicity is Korean, but she grew up in Burbank, California. Zoey and her groupmates assume secret identities as demon hunters to protect humanity. When fighting demons, she throws knives called shin-kals.[1]
