[Working Title] – Minecraft Roleplay Series (Long-Term Project)
James "Jay" Macmillan for Co-Writer (with voice acting ability)
- Role Overview: I’m looking for a long-term co-writer who can also voice act. This is NOT a one-off project — I’m building a full Minecraft roleplay series with consistent episodes, character development, and an ongoing story. --- What I Need From You:
- Ability to help write scenes, dialogue, and character interactions
- Someone who brings ideas to the table (not just agrees with everything)
- Comfortable collaborating and building a story together long-term
- Able to voice act at least one character in the series
- Must be consistent and reliable (no disappearing after a week)
- Must be 18+ or mature enough to handle serious themes
- Good communication (Discord required)
- Must be willing to be part of a team and grow with the project
- Passion for storytelling (this matters more than experience)
- You must be able to run a modded Minecraft pack (~10–12GB RAM recommended)
- A decent PC is required to avoid lag during recording sessions
- Natural acting preferred (not overly exaggerated unless needed)
- Must be able to deliver both casual and emotional lines
- Submit a short introduction about yourself
- Tell me:
- Why you want to be part of this project
- Any writing experience (optional but helpful)
- Include a short voice sample
Additional Audition Intructions (In case it’s not clear):
Along with your voice sample, please include a short written or recorded response covering the following:
- What interests you about this project?
- What do you hope to achieve or gain by being part of it?
- What inspired you to apply?
- Any experience with storytelling, roleplay, or collaborative projects
This doesn’t need to be overly long or formal — I’m mainly looking to understand your mindset, creativity, and how you approach working on a long-term project.

What interests you? Minecraft Roleplay combines my love of Minecraft, my interest in creative writing, and my guilty pleasure of doing RP where I pretend to be an elder dad werewolf still hung up on being a good father to his kids while at the same time trying not to eat them. I'm sure everyone feels that way, especially about not wanting to eat friends and family.
What do you hope to gain? As much as I love writing by myself, it gets dull sometimes just sitting at home in front of a blank page with no one to bounce ideas with. Blank page syndrome is a curse I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy, so writing in the structured style of RP helps me stay on track with a conversation. More avenues to keep myself grounded are always welcome, and talking with other writers always gets me in the mental groove to write more.
What inspired you to apply? After binging a few Minecraft roleplays, it got me right into the funk of the series style, but I don't really have any friends who play, so this opportunity feels like the pieces falling into place.
Any experience in storytelling/rp/collabs? Storytelling is a natural part of D&D, so it comes with the territory. That and describing the dragon coming back for child support payments after being seduced. As for RP, LARPing as a well-meaning grandpa pizza delivery driver vampire was good fun. In the Collabs column, I've still got the monster 5 DM session I assisted co-ordinating when too many DMs in the Westmarch I was apart of laid claim to one particular...ahem...haphazard player's soul, and so they were forced to face up to their many deals. Safe to say there were some debts to be paid. Good fun!
