Fitz is the lead male protagonist. Sophie is told that she was an elf by Fitz. He is the first elf she meets and quickly develops a crush for him. He is looked upon as a prodigy, and loved by all girls and hated by guys at Foxfire. Fitz gives off a feeling of being invincible and is caught off guard whenever someone (cough Sophie) does something better than him. He's not stuck up though, but he is just used to being the best.
