**Fair warning, you can imagine that I don't know my best friend's character as well as I know my own and (considering this is a surprise gift) I am unable to ask her questions regarding her character and the voice she envisions for him without being overly suspicious. So information may be lacking in this area.

Personality:
  • Grumpy || Mischievous || Stubborn || Indecisive
 Hot tempered, hard headed, quick-witted, independent, vague and occasionally helpful. He is typically optimistic until irritated; sadly getting him irritated is not very difficult. He's as likely to assist you as he is to get you lost, either way you're in for an interesting time. It should be noted that he rather enjoys getting lost, often doing so on purpose, claiming that roads untraveled are the ones best taken. Don't let his reclusive lifestyle or anger issues fool you; there's a lot of kindness hidden away in his heart. Show him respect and he will return it justly.

**If you really need more to get into the mind of this character, he's a mapmaker/freelance artist, he loves to explore new places with his pet gummy bear Butters, he appreciates his solitutde where he can get it, he acts like quite the tsundere (can look up the term if you are unfamiliar, but basically he's the kind of guy that will be like "I totally don't like you." while blushing and looking away, and then later in the same day he will see you and give you a hug and a kiss and look away with that same blush on his face while saying 'You're stupid.', which may as well translate to 'I love you') and he's got a history with father issues. He was abusive toward's Archi's mother and was placed behind bars later in life, leaving Archi to be the man of the house.
Can ask more questions involving him if it'll help you!

Voice:
As stated before, I do not have as much knowledge in what is debatably the most important area of information that can be supplied. I wasn't able to ask her that many questions without giving away my motives and really, she just didn't have much to say about him. Archi is rather quiet and annoyed around my character Dulce, despite loving him to pieces. When they interact, they're both pretty sassy towards one another, so you can imagine Archi's voice sounding sarcastic and uninterested, at least, that's the default tone he equips himself with whenever he's in the middle of a spat. He's not typically expressive, choosing to keep his personal feelings and thoughts to himself. However, he can be a playful, troublemaker when he embraces a good mood, he can express happiness and joy with subtlety, where anger and irritation are vented loudly.

Archi, like Dulce, does not have a deep voice. Lacking enthusiasm in one's tone does not translate to deep, he is still young and that youthful nature is felt. You could use a few of the vocal examples that were mentioned with Dulce, though I'm uncertain if they would give off the right vibe, as they are more expressive characters. I can note that my friend had linked me to the Far Cry 4 game and mentioned that the main character, Ajay Ghale, kinda sounded like him. Was still just a touch too deep and lacked an accent, but it was the best example she could give.

And yes, he does have the slightest hint of an accent, nothing strong. It's something that is only notable for some words in his speech- his English is pretty good, you see. The accent in question was one she described as eastern, really I know his character is based around India's culture, so that accent would be your best bet. But again, it's not strong, so don't go whipping out that stereotypical Hindi voice. Keep it subtle and again, keep his age in mind. Not too high or low, gotta find that perfect in between.

Requirements:

- Clear audio, make sure you don't have a lot of background noise, be mindful of mouth sounds/lip smacking, and remember, diction is important, don't slur your words.
-Must be able to convey a fair range of emotion (happiness, sadness, and anger). I'm not entirely sure what direction my script will go in, but I'm thinking of something a little more serious. Either way, you need to really sell whatever it is you're reading, goes without saying.
-Having a Skype would be preferred. Will keep communication there or through email if you prefer.
-Should be open to the idea of voicing a character that is in a gay relationship. Will definitely need to be open to the idea of cursing, as Archi swears like a sailor.
-I can't promise a generous payment, but depending on how much money I have by the end of it, I may be able to give around $50 dollars to the two VA's chosen for this project. However, you will need a paypal.

  • "W-What the hell is wrong with you?!" (Annoyed, embarrassed, say it with volume)

  • "I don't hate you, I actively dislike your face. There's a difference." (Casually, with a hint of sass)

  • "...You're such an idiot." (Quietly, with some feeling (This is 'I love you' in the language of Archi, can try to convey that if you'd like)
