Harvey Bullock is a gruff, slovenly, and cynical  detective, often serving as a "bad cop" counterpart to Commissioner Gordon. Despite his frequently corrupt, abrasive, and "by-any-means" approach to law enforcement, he is deeply loyal, effective, and possesses a hidden sentimental streak. He often starts as a corrupt or lazy character, later evolving into a deeply flawed but righteous, hard-boiled, and dedicated cop.
