English bred, outwardly cultured Howard shocked the academic world when he married the bad boy of the tech industry, Kevin W. Moore III. The pair later opened a private high school, Stone Academy, in the Bay Area as both Howard's dream and a front for the SpectroForce project. Howard is polite, easy-going, and down to Earth, the unironically cool teacher all his students in Astronomy listen to and respect, even his cranky teenage daughter, Kayla.
Howard is openly gay.
Howard has 119 lines in the pilot, which includes one- two minute monologue.
