Fall of the Titans - A Greek mythology webcomic
Nyx for Persephone
Persephone is the daughter of Demeter, often regarded as the goddess of spring though her true title is the goddess of the underworld. She’s married to Hades and oversees the underworld at his side. She has an overall good relationship with her mother but believes she doesn’t understand her or her love of the underworld and its inhabitants, often arguing about her priorities.
Her voice should have a clear, confident tone similarly to Aphrodite but with more of an almost child-like wonder to it. A lot of what she’s experiencing is her first time doing so. Once she’s settled into her position with Hades, she gains much more confidence in herself though she always retains a very youthful curiosity and optimism about the world, contrasting Hades soft-spoken pessimism.

(Wonder, curiosity) “I’ve never been to the underworld before… I’ve never really even left the grove. Is it always night here? What happens to those souls floating down the river? How on earth do you not get lonely down here?”
(Firm towards Demeter. Sticking up for herself) “No mother. I know you have your feelings about the underworld and about Hades but that’s my home now too. Just as much as here. And I love Hades with everything I am. You’re just going to have to accept that.”
(Comforting, towards hades) “I promise you I’m happy here dearest. How could I not be? I’ve experienced more here than I had my entire life before. Your kingdom is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. And besides, I wouldn’t leave you in a heartbeat.”
