Sayori is a bright and bubbly girl, and she's also a bit of an airhead. She's the player character's childhood friend, and she lives next door, so she's also the one who convinced the player character to join the literature club in the first place.
Even though she's outwardly bright and cheerful, she deals with some pretty serious depression, and there's several lines where this shows through her cheerful disposition.
Her voice should be cheerful and bright, just imagine smiling while you record. This changes when she becomes more depressed and dejected, and can fluctuate rapidly from saying something sad and then covering it up with a joke.
"Eeeehhhh!? You say that like you were thinking of ignoring me! That's mean, Dan!~" (she's more playful than actually hurt)
"Isn't she so beautiful and smart?! Before long you... you won't really need me anymore, huh?" (start off cheery, end kind of downtrodden)
"*sigh* Why do you think I didn't tell you? Because if I told you, then you would have to waste effort caring about me instead of doing important things. I don't want to be cared about."
