Chiyo Takeda is 14 years old, half Japanese/white mixed race, living in Japan. She doesn't believe in the talent system, yet holds the title of "Superior Baker" which she had obtained through her consistent passion and pursuit of baking, an interest supported by both sides of her family. Chiyo is a gentle, kind and carefree individual who is quick to get back on her feet.

She might seem a little bit ditzy and is driven strongly by her emotions, but she is trying her best to be a good role model and bring hope to the people around her. She is an extrovert- perhaps even a bit of an oversharer- willing to befriend practically anyone who gives her the time of day, and hopes to one day have her own TV show. She also adores puppies, which she thought was important to mention.

 Her voice is soft, peppy and somewhat feminine, with a little tomboyish kick to it; interpret that how you wish!
