Nick Fury is the man in charge of SHIELD and the Ultimates (or the Avengers, depending on comic point of view). It may surprise you to know that Fury a la Samuel L. Jackson originated from the Ultimates, but thanks to the MCU, we can no longer think of Nick Fury without thinking of Samuel L. Jackson. The lines above are a pun to some of Samuel L.
