I would say so. Brin is the scholarly type, a bit shy, and kind of awkward, but he gets lost in awe and wonder when discussing anything Dryad related, forgetting that there are people around to hear him speak. He's obsessed with Dryad lore and learning anything he can about them.
Oh, I get it now. I'll try to achieve that type of voice in my next try. Thanks for the advice!
