Dr. Deern was Fran's psychiatrist while she was in the asylum. He was shown to not be intentionally an antagonist, but only following the rules, as hinted by Palontras. Throughout the entire game, he is the only member of the Oswald Asylum that showed any form of sympathy or compassion to Fran.

  • “Fran... please, follow my voice. On the count of three, you will wake up... One... Two... Three... Fran, how do you feel?"

  • "Oh, no! Take her back to her room! And nurse... don't let her take this ever again."

  • "Fran? Are you alright?! What have you done with her?!"
