LED-Boy is the protagonist for a new platformer video game. He is a mute protagonist who communicates through short words and punctuation illuminated by a metronome style LED rod on his head, but needs to have a fun playful voice for vocal efforts.

I am open to general interpretation of the character vocal range, but pay close attention to the style of each effort.  Have fun with the character, be playful with the efforts, and if you have extra ideas for what could be a fun vocal effort for the character please feel free to add to the audition.

  • *Small jump* *Big jump!*

  • *Light damage taken* *Medium damage taken* *Large damage taken*

Heya Spaz! Thank you for the submission! First thing first, make sure you're reading through the details. The submission altogether is good, but there was a slate asked for (Your name or handle spoken at the beginning of the track) and 2-3 takes were requested.

Efforts are tricky as you want to make sure you're reading the prompt, which you did, but that it feels like an action. Energy needs to be at the forefront, even when volume on some of these might be low. And for damage taking efforts, i'd make sure the beginning pops in, as this should be something taking LED-Boy by surprise. You could even put a consonant at the beginning like Gah! The more plosive start feels like a hit was made, as opposed to the ease in aaAAAaa where it sounds more like seeing something coming and pre-acting to it, if that makes sense.
