The Luciferns are strange creatures that Fran encounters. Luciferns seem to be very polite and näive, willing to help Fran for the small fee of having their hair combed or sometimes for nothing at all, but to simply be helpful. Often, they are curious, which will usually lead to them getting their hair tangled in trees. 

  • "Look, person Fran, we came from the south... Flying as always... And one of us got curious about this key! And all of us got stuck here. And because of our long hair, we can't get loose."

  • "Curiosity is damned! Damn you, curiosity!"
