Ethelia: The Audio Recreation [Call 1: The Narrator, Gods and Goddesses]
JayNedOwen for Ezreus
Avalan took a liking to Udelia, as she was seen easier in the eternal night brought on by Cyqualla. Avalan consummated their essence with her to make the light brighter and balance the night. From this came Ezreus, who shone with a greater light than Udelia. Ezreus challenged Cyqualla to a race of powers: whichever mass could lap the other would reign supreme. This led to the eternal cycle of night and day...
[to Cyqualla] Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. And without light, we are left to our dark sides, never to be balanced. [small pause, as Cyqualla answers, exclaiming her distaste for the sun... He says, understandingly] I see... Knowing you, there is no use to encourage you waver, especially for my Mother's needs, but -- [a bit cocky] -- perhaps for a wager?
[to his mother, Udelia] Mother, you need not worry about me. I was forged from your light, and like the sun I am a never-ending, shining man of glory... Surely, even with light purged from the world, I can -- and will -- bring it back.
