Mara MacBeth - (My-ra MacBeth):
A middle aged witch whose been doing witchcraft since she was around Aleta's age. She usually sees no point in teaching children, especially ones who have no idea what they are doing! But, this girl's determination reminded Mara of when she was a kid, so why not humor the child? She just thinks Aleta will run away once things get "too scary".
She's rather monotone sounding but can be a bit smug when doing something that can be counted as a "prank", usually simple things, such as screaming suddenly or summoning her coven when it's raining.
*the scene starts with loud banging on the door, Mara makes a sound of acknowledgement but at first ignores it after it ceases. A slight pause then the banging continues* Alright! Alright, I'm coming! *Mara starts to mutter this part* And you'd think living out in the woods would cease these encounters... *She answers the door, say with some confusion* "Ah... hello? May I ask, why are you out here, alone?"
"Rumors you say? Well, I can tell you right now, I'm just a simple "elderly" woman living in the woods, I mean, those villages are always so noisy. Why deal with that when you can have the peace and quiet of the woods?"*please mutter before saying this line, this is the part where Aleta is going through Mara's stuff* "This is the first and last time I'll take a kid under my wing... Oh? That chest there? Just some heads." *try to sound a bit smug* "Hm? Well, I am a witch, young one. Why wouldn't I have some heads in a chest? If you are so unsure, *soft evil giggle* open up the chest for yourself!" *make a sudden scream, as if you are trying to scare someone* "O-ok, ok, I know that was rude, but you did walk yourself into that one!" *giggle or laugh, whichever you see her doing*
*sound annoyed as you read this* "Oh yes, someone with no sympathy for human life is not that scary. Entirely not scary... Look, lets just get moving before I get an arrow through my hat. Again."
