Rinpoche is a title for a head monk. This character is a sage like character who narrates key points that drive the main character of the short film. His voice should sound old and even though he speaks English pretty well, I imagine him having an Asian language accent. He is bit set in his ways.
Then I believe it is a wonderful name. The lotus is a great symbol for our people. It lays it's roots on grounds unstable. The water murky and dirty but still every season it renews itself pure of color. The lotus thrives in the unfavorable.

I've got to say, this is one of the most fun auditions I've done, to date! I got to channel my old-school live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Master Yoshi impression, which was a BLAST. I don't even care if I don't get it, this was the highlight of my evening. Thank you for being so specific in the casting role!
