His voice is on a medium-deep scale. He is a kind man trying to do his best to be a great king for his people and most importantly, be a fatherly figure all who would accept him. He has been through a lot and shouldered the responsibility of ruling the entire Underground, leaving little time for his wounds to heal. He has lived ruminating over the loss of his family for many years and has mentored the Captain of the Royal Guard, as well as visited his people at regular intervals, which only shows even more how much he cares for everyone. He doesn't truly wish to harm anyone, but has been forced into a position where he must follow through with his past grieving self's enraged vow to bring war upon humanity as a way of keeping his people from losing all hope.
