Benji's best friend - secondary character, still has a ton of lines.
Mei-Xia is... kind of a punk. As in, she tries her best, but down to her core, Mei-Mei is an Asian American girl smarter than most of her peers, even if it's just for the sake of her parents. Fluent in Cantonese, hair dyed a light purple, Mei-Mei is the perfect best friend... if you don't consider her sarcasm, tendency to overshare about feelings she has for guys (spoiler alert, Benji does not want to hear about which guys on the football team she would screw), and overall brattiness.
Must be able to study and speak Cantonese with near perfect pronunciation for just a few exclamations. I'd 100% prefer somebody who is already of Chinese descent and can nail the accent!! She grew up in America, so her default speaking accent is American, but she does speak Cantonese at times.

That’s totally something you would do (Benj detests) It absolutely is. If Adam spoke French in front of you, you’d probably fall in love on the spot.
Forgot to mention! But I gave her a bit of a deeper voice but if you pictured her having a higher pitch voice, I can redo!
