Gabriel is an Archangel - a captain in God's army, he has tons of authority and is often in contact with Jess; both timelines of her that is. He can hide and reveal his wings at will and can fly - creating a portal back into heaven. He can also be sympathetic and caring if it is needed during a situation.
Voice
Gabriel can have any pitch voice as long as it isn't too high, but the normal lines must be delivered with a soft voice - I don't mind an echo, it is actually needed in the series.
Stay and your deaths are imminent, hide and you will survive what is to come.
