King Dedede is the ruler of Dream Land and is the main antagonist of the show. He often enjoys abusing his powers for his own amusement. He hates Kirby with a passion and will do anything to drive him out of dreamland. When he's not battling Kirby, he's often causing trouble or brewing up trouble. He'll often be seen bossing Escargoon around and even abusing him for his own entertainment or cause he's easily angered by his antics. He'll sometimes do good deeds but that only happens every once and a blue moon. He speaks with a texas accent in the 4kids dub while sounding like a grouchy grandpa in the japanese version and isn't exactly the smartest fella around.
