Jason Summers is a walking encyclopedia of geek culture—comics, sci-fi, video games, RPGs, model kits, you name it, he’s mastered it. Between his tabletop campaigns and comic reading, he’s a timid kid with big dreams who freezes under pressure—unless he’s holding a “weapon,” in which case he becomes a surprisingly bold defender of his friends.

[Excitedly flipping through a stack of comics] Dude, are you into comics? Check these out—Defenders of Earth, Knights of Stormvale, Ace Asteroid, The Gentlemen’s Code, and—uh—Space Babes?! That’s not mine! I—I don’t even know how that got in there!
[Energetically swinging his practice sword, making exaggerated grunts and swish sounds before stopping dramatically] HAAAH! CRITICAL HIT! (panting, proudly) So? What do you think? I’m trying out a new catchphrase. Be honest—too much?
[Cornered by bullies, gripping a ruler like a sword, slowly panicking more and more] Okay, okay, so Eileen’s got the martial arts thing down—but all I’ve done is light sparring! I’ve never actually been in a fight before! And I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but all I’ve got is a ruler! How did I end up with a ruler?!
