HW Review:
Hey Chip, that's some really nice projection! Excellent work keeping your pacing controlled in a way that gives you plenty of areas to take natural pauses to ensure you've got plenty of air to keep that projection train chugging through the entire script.
I LOVE how you corrected your flubs with the "snap". This is a common technique to create a sharp spike in your audio to mark where you or an engineer will need to make an edit. The best practice when making a mistake is to stop, pause, and start again from the beginning of the sentence or from the last natural pause, and you applied that technique beautifully.
Alright, you've nailed the projection aspect of this homework practice. Let's go into a couple of ways you can elevate your performance so it doesn't just sound like you're shouting at your audience with only the intent to be loud. Get flexible with your pacing! You can still be controlled while fluctuating the speed of your read to spark more energy. You can also vary your level of projection as well. Since you can already hit a solid projection of 10, move that volume bar up and down to create more interest to keep the listener engaged.
This was a great read and a solid showcase of your ability to project. I'm excited to hear how you can change up your performances going forward!
I'd buy it! :)
