Beach Flashback Scene
nova nightingale for Marina
MARINA has about 250 words in two scenes - a small but important role. This part calls for natural, emotive, dramatic acting.
I would need four to six takes performed with a variety of delivery for each line / chunk of dialogue, and possibly some retakes after an evaluation of the rough dialogue mix with all the actors' performances in context.
I prefer to work via email. Please feel free to ask if you have any questions about the part or project.
Thanks!
This call is for the part of MARINA.
The setting is idyllic.
MARINA
(idly, relaxed but a little distant)
Have you ever looked at a wave rolling in, and thought: "No one else has ever seen this before?"
GLACIO
(densely)
Seen a wave before?
MARINA
Not "a" wave - "this" wave. **This** water, arranged **this** way... - and in a few seconds, it will be gone?
GLACIO
Oh... Umm... Hmm.
MARINA
(growing apprehension over the impermanence of everything - almost a plaintive pleading)
Or the trees in the wind. The same thing...
the arrangement of the leaves - the movement of the leaves...
and think:
(forlornly)
"That will never happen again...
not like that."
