Hammer fought through the Fall of Reach, staying long after evacuation orders to cover retreating civilians and soldiers. He lost his company during the defense of New Alexandria, but refused to be extracted until the last dropships left
Two years later, Hammer commands Sector 7, one of the UNSC’s last footholds on Reach. He knows the planet is more graveyard than battlefield, but he believes holding ground is vital for morale and for humanity’s long-term survival. To him, Alpha-1 isn’t just another squad — they’re a chance to prove Reach can still fight back.
