(Spiteful, half-grumble) "No, unlike you I have actual friends. Not just the ones my daddy bought me." (Eleanor: "I'd hardly call being friends with my brother an achievement. And at least I have a dad, Rat.") (Sarcastic, feigned enthusiasm) "And my condolences to him."
(Calm but threatening) "Are you really going to risk that? You're already on thin ice after the party incident, and I tend to be very convincing."
"No answer still. I thrust a torch through the remaining aperture and let it fall within. There came forth in return only a jingling of the bells."
