The pushing 30 celebrity reporter!

Shelly Tan is a 27 year old celebrity reporter who knows the age of 30 is knocking on the door. Coming from a strict Chinese-American household, Shelly was always getting pushed to the max when it came to finding a career, eventually falling onto her longtime love of journalism. This love extended into college, where she pursued a degree in journalism. Being a pretty face in the field, she caught an internship at the Portland Post Celeb Hunter division. This... Drives her nuts. She became a journalist to deliver real news to people, not break celebrity gossip! Caught in a vicious cycle of fearing 30 and trying to be mature, Shelly hopes to catch the eyes of a big political magazine with her play at Camp Cash Grab. However, the side you won't see from Shelly often is the geeky fanfic author who types up fics on her home PC during her days off and visits foriegn sites to see art of her favorite characters. If that ever got out? She could kiss her job and life as an adult goodbye! 30 year old women shouldn't be geeks... Right?

While her voice isn't anywhere near deep, Shelly is calm, articulate, and always tries to sound as mature as possible. This facade is a struggle to keep up, especially when something like anime or film is brought up. That's when her more geeky and natural voice come out, usually followed by an embarrassing attempt to move past her slip up.
