A Sip of life Pilot (Vrchat mini series)
Tierney for Mara The barista
Mara is the quiet soul behind the counter at A Sip of Life, a small café that only opens after dark. She recently inherited the place from her late grandmother — along with the responsibility of holding space for strangers in need of a pause, a warm drink, or simply someone to listen.
She’s not flashy, outspoken, or even particularly mysterious — just calm, grounded, and present. People open up to her easily, maybe because she doesn’t push, doesn’t pry, and never judges. Her responses are gentle, sometimes poetic, often simple — but they always come from a place of honesty.
Mara carries her own kind of quiet weight. She can’t handle daylight whether it’s due to a rare condition or something more personal, she never says. The night is her rhythm now. And in that quiet time, she listens, serves, and writes — recording the small human truths shared over tea, coffee, or cocoa.
She’s not trying to save anyone. But through her presence, people often end up saving themselves.

“Some people speak in riddles, others in silence. But when someone chooses to open up… even a little… you can feel it. Like steam rising from a cup.”
“Same order tonight? Or do you need something a little stronger… emotionally, I mean.” (light chuckle)
“I’m not here to fix people. Just to remind them they’re not broken.”
Hard to hear this one...I can only hear your voice on one side of my headphones.
