Blackstar: A RWBY-inspired novel podcast
Alex W for Rufus
Rufus is a bravo-to-be best defined as an extreme individualist. He's a member of the punk band Hollow Point, its guitarist and second vocalist. He joined the band because of his love for music as much as he did for money and name recognition, driven by a desire to leave behind his abusive family and life in the slums. Albeit seen by some then as not 'traditionally punk', he's focused in whatever lyrics he writes to encourage the listener to fight for themselves against the powers that be.
Rufus, like many others, recognizes how horrible Invicta is to its poorest citizens, but believes the most effective means to provide any relief to them is to do what he can as a musician and bravo and to amass enough wealth to make some difference with it.
Rufus is a major character in the story.
Rufus's voice isn't strictly set yet in my mind, but his personality and demeanor certainly is. Rufus should be up-front and wear his emotions on his sleeve: when he's pissed, he's really pissed, and when he's excited he's really excited. He should also be able to project his voice well as a vocalist, as he's known to almost outright shout his lyrics into the mic.

[Sarcastic] Nice job, hotshot! Next time, how about you- GAH! [Bitten by something small, harmless, but gross]
[Incredulous] When you put it like that, it actually sounds like we might be marching into a death trap.
[Holding back a violent rage] Fuck you, Royale. We're done.
