Blackstar: A RWBY-inspired novel podcast
Alex W for Narrator
The narrator is, naturally, one of the most important parts of the story. Your narration should carry the emotions of the scene and the characters with it - the intensity of monster attacks, the solelmness and tragedy of death, the carelessness of youth... But despite that importance, there are no set parameters I am looking for in a narrator. Male, female, high, low, deep, empathetic, distanced—however it is you read this, it might just do the trick
Just know that you'll have to speak and record a LOT, and give a shot at how you'd read out the lines below.
- english
- narration
- all accents
[Dramatic, pained scene] Every motion brought on aches which would not go away, every breath he took pierced his lungs as though the air around him had been coated in a hundred needles, and each one had the smell of soot which would never escape him.
[Expositional, neutral or amused] But for the right sum, of course, the right kind of person would walk into hell and be back in a week’s time for their pay. Such people were known as a bravos–and the duo standing at the entrance were no different.
[Tense, monstrous] Whatever had once been human about the body was no more, its features dragged out in mockery of man’s form, a viscous, black substance seeping from its orifices like tar—even its pores seemed to be oozing in this way, giving its emaciated limbs a wet, black sheen.
