I appreciate you keeping the flubs! But one thing that I sort of hear is that this read wasn’t practiced, this feels like it was a completely cold read when it comes to this. One of the things that we mention is that when it comes to the homework and most cold reads, is that you’re allowed to practice and allow yourself to get familiar with the script, allow yourself to read it over, look up some of the harder pronunciations of some of the words, and make the choices that you want to make! A lot of the choices I hear, are made on the fly and not too rehearsed. Don’t be afraid to practice the script beforehand, cold reads are good but you still are allowed to read it over, take 2 minutes to yourself, which might not sound like a lot, but 120 seconds sound a lot better, doesn’t it?

The pronunciation is a bit off for this one, specifically words such as “Berret Burrow”, “of Gertrude”, “Kilagub Gilded Dung Beetle” we’re missing some words in this script, “Berret Burrow’s Bug Blood Banaza”, “Casket Way” amongst others. 

The zombie was good, could’ve been a bit sillier, as this is your chance to really go all out, this read is supposed to be very animated and very over the top if necessary, and that means in both the original character reading this and the zombie noise. The smile teetered throughout and the more you flub the less it went. It’s understandable to get frustrated when there’s a million different flubs, but we have to stay in character the best we can when it comes to the read. 

Keep practicing, don’t be afraid to read the script prior, but keep trying!
