HW Review

Hot dang! This is such a fun way to approach this script! Lovely work figuring out your setting and determining the five W's in the process.

You immediately caught my attention with the exasperated sigh before you started speaking. Lead-in additions like that are not only great for calling attention to what you're about to say, but also to help you (the voice actor) establish and stabilize your approach to the scene. Excellent use of a lead in!

There are a few mistakes to be aware of. At 0:40, you say "rot on" instead of "rot to". At 1:05 you say "around the" instead of "around a". Remember to be careful to follow the script. There's a couple of pronunciation mistakes, such as you saying "Brom-lich" instead of "Brom-ich" (the correct pronunciation of Bromwich), but you hit most of it pretty accurately!

Something I like to do when I am working on a long-form or narrative script of some kind is to listen back on my recording while reading the script at the same time. This takes a bit of time, but it is a good way to catch when you accidently go off script or miss a word in the midst of a performance.

The breaths, the "hmm"s, the laughs, the exasperation, the sighs; all of it adds so much personality to the scene and to the character. You could vary up the pace of the read a bit more to draw more interest, but other than that this is a fantastic performance.

*Side Note

I've not taken the audio engineering class myself, but I hear it's a great class for beginners who want to get a more extensive understanding of their Digital Audio Interface and the innerworkings of their audio files. Highly recommend!
