Jean Kirstein is portrayed as a cocky, overconfident, and somewhat arrogant student who believes he's above his classmates. He is very concerned with his appearance and popularity, often trying to impress girls and bragging about his past achievements. He clashes with Eren Jaeger, as they have opposing views and Jean is openly jealous of Eren's relationship with Mikasa.
