Class Session 3
Basti_the_Bard for Role
Full details of homework is on Closing Credits
Very nice read here Basti. I particularly love the slow pace you took the script at. You let each section of the script breathe and allowed for the sense of remembrance to linger and develop, a great touch!
Good job with the pronunciations, the only hang up was on "carotenoid lutein" you would want to run that one back.
Were we to hit this again, I would want to take a more specific look at who your audience is. Who are we regaling the wonderful tale of Ms Nilimore too? Why are we sharing this story? Other than the sweet memories as we speak, how does our character feel about recounting their experience with Ms Nilimore? Building out the context of this scene and deepening the understanding of our character as they deliver this script will help inform our acting and immerse ourselves into the delivery. Are we giving a eulogy at a funeral? Reminiscing about our maid to our grandkids? Talking to our cousins about our childhood rearing? These different scenarios will sound differently and stress different information in the script. The more detail we can add to a scene the easier it will be to act it and deliver it in character.
Great work here Basti, a fun read and I hardly noticed the congestion! Looking forward to more!
Thank you very much! I'll definitely keep the context in mind going forward!
