Class Session 2
Zeph for Role

HW Review:
Hey Zeph, focus on slowing down your read. A lot of your articulation is being lost due to the speed of your read. If over-articulation isn't something you're accustomed to, then rapid pacing is going to negatively impact the clarity of your speech. You don't want your listener to be playing catch up with you.
For example, at 0:07 you say "Buh-for" instead of "bee-for". You say "Peer" instead of "Pee-ter" at 0:08. At 0:22 the words "different" and "from" merge into each other. At 0:32 you say "Jawing" instead of "jot-ting", and so forth.
Slow down and focus on each individual word. Use more conscious spacing between words and consider how many syllables each word has. In the practice of over-articulating, you want to hit every syllable; the consonants and the vowels, as clearly as possible.
I would like for you to practice reading out loud more often. Slow down and pay attention to the pronunciation and articulation of each word. It might feel and sound odd at first, but over time you will notice this practice working wonders on your ability to articulate and it will improve your pacing control as well.
Thank you for your submission! Keep up the practice with your articulation. I look forward to listening to your next submission!
