Class Session 2
Alex Johnson for Role
Full details of homework is on Closing Credits
Great read her Alex. I actually want to start the end with how you handled the tongue twister. That slow and deliberate delivery with exaggerated articulation is actually the practice I look for in this hw! That is the form to practice really enunciating perfectly clearly and hitting all of a scripts articulation.
That is not to say your Blood Bug read was bad, not at all. But I want to hone in on the middle of some of your words. Where your word starts and ends often were quite clear, we lost some consonants and enunciation in the middle of words. Another point is sometimes we would speed up the pace of the read. A fine choice by itself, but in a few sections during the read, the clarity went down as the speed went up. Keep an eye out for that specifically when you go to speed up the line delivery. Especially something commercial like this script, we want full clarity in the script for the audience and for the client. Things like the Company name, the store where we can find the product, and the tag line for the company need to be heard with absolute clarity.
Putting a little more room between the words is something to help with the pace. Let each word breathe and give it a spot to be heard and pronounced fully. Mindful spacing like that will help keep firm control over the speed of the read.
Awesome work here Alex. Good practice, great read! Looking forward to more!
