HW Review:
Love to hear you going all-in with your projection and articulation! Excessive use of projection and over-articulation can make for a great foundation for you to be able to understand how to put those techniques into effect.
You roll into this at full force, so let's talk about how you can roll it back effectively so it doesn't hinder your overall performance.
In this read, you hit nearly every word with a pause.
So. It. Sounds. Like. This. When. You. Speak.
This can work in some instances, but for a long-form script like this that's in a storybook/narrative format, it can sound very jarring and unnatural. You've got the articulation and projection, so now you can practice just speaking with these aspects at a more natural pace.
Continue to practice reading out loud, be it scripts, advertisements, books, ect. and picture it as if you are speaking to a friend. This visualization will help you find a more natural sound while you are projecting and articulating.
Thank you for submitting your HW for week 2! Keep up the good work!
