Knuckles the Echidna is the current guardian of the Master Emerald and the sole surviving descendant of the echidna race from the Knuckles Clan. He is a strong and brave warrior with a short temper and a tendency to act impulsively, but beneath his gruff exterior, he is kind-hearted and always willing to help those in need. Due to his isolated life on Angel Island, he is somewhat naive and unused to social interactions, which often leads to him being misled.
