Class Session 2
Misnomer23 for Role
Full details of homework is on Closing Credits
Your audio is so clear, no clicks! I love the warm read
Solid read here Misnomer. I notice that the read is pretty edited here, for the sake of the class please send us the raw audio of the read, breaths, mistakes, pauses and all. A great clarity of articulation as we asked, wonderfully done. Of note was you slipped into a little bit of British RP on some of your T's. Fun oddity noticed as otherwise the accent was absent from the rest of the read.
Though we like to get raw audio since you did edit it I'll talk a bit on some changes I would make to the way you edit. For your breaths, particularly in the beginning, you cut too much space out between the breath pause and the start of the next line. There is an unnatural fast skip when you made those edits that makes it almost feel like the recording jumps a bit when the next line comes faster than the rest of the read's pace. This will come with time but try and match the pace of recording when cutting a breath. Give a bit more room in those cuts. Additionally the end of your script is clipped short. Let the word resonate and fade. If using a daw with a wavform view, let the wave fade before the end cut so there is no harsh cut off of sound.
Another editing note, you had one section where you silenced the audio instead of cutting it. If you need to silence a portion of a recording, replace the empty space with an ambient recording of your recording space in silence. The reason being the absolute absence of sound is very noticeable. Take a few seconds from the beginning or end of your recording and use it as portable noise floor for 1:09.
Be careful when reading through a script. Right near the end you dropped "the" in "including the people" and "he" in "but he no longer cared"
Once again great work on the purpose of the hw. Crisp, clear, enunciated, and clean. Great read!
I appreciate the feedback. I did edit all of my assignments including the following week's so I will upload future assignments raw. Thank you for the tips on editing as well, I'll save those for my auditions!
