From the age of seven, she knew better than to trust what lay outside her doorstep. Her parents were negligent at best, absent at worst—but Kira survived, even if it meant never truly living.

At eight, everything changed. A strange flash of color, laughter, and light—the Carnaval of Wonders—crashed into her life like a dream. And in the center of it stood Ryul, the ringmaster. Mysterious, magnetic, and just as strange as the carnaval itself. To Kira, he was the first spark of real magic. The first person who seemed to see her.

And so, she stayed. From child to acrobat, Kira twirled through the air and into the hearts of the audience—always by Ryul’s side, like a shadow turned star. She copied him, mimicked him, grew under his influence.

Others came and joined the Carnaval, but none intrigued her the way Ryul did. Still, Kira was happy. She had found her home. A place where she wasn’t just surviving—she was playing.
