In the safety of familiar company, he’s witty, confident, and never afraid to make a joke at his own expense — or anyone else’s. He likes to exaggerate his charm, sometimes femboyishly posing or hamming things up for attention. But outside of his circle, his confidence collapses into awkwardness. Uncomfortable with strangers, he tends to cover up his social anxiety by being sarcastic, blunt, or even a little mean, usually without realizing how harsh he’s being. Despite the bravado, Benji is deeply insecure about how people perceive him, and Zach often acts as his social buffer, grounding him when he risks pushing others away. His vine powers reflect his inner tension — protective and constricting when he’s anxious, but playful and fluid when he’s relaxed.
